August Fort represented Region V at the 8th annual International Sustainable World (Energy, Engineering, & Environment) Project Olympiad (iSWEEEP) in Houston, TX on .
Nearly 500 highly qualified projects from 67 countries were displayed at the George R. Brown Convention Center during the week of May 7-11, 2015 in Houston, TX.
August was awarded an Honorable Mention in the Category of Engineering for his project entitled, “Got Saltwater? Desalination”.  Congratulations to his teacher Renee Allen, his parents, and Caledonia Middle School.

Welcome to the Region V MS Science & Engineering Fair!

Mississippi State University’s Bagley College of Engineering proudly serves as the host of the Region V Mississippi Science and Engineering Fair.  There are 7 MSEF Regions in Mississippi.  Region V covers 16 counties including:  Attala, Carroll, Choctaw, Clay, Kemper, Lauderdale, Leake, Lowndes, Montgomery, Neshoba, Newton, Noxubee, Oktibbeha, Scott, Webster, and Winston Counties.  This includes all schools K-12.  The competition occurs on two levels: Upper Fair (grades 6-12)* and Lower Fair (grades K-5). Every year, more than 1200 students participate in the regional fair representing their schools and their communities.
*Only grades 7-12 are eligible to progress to the State Level competition
