Mississippi State University’s Bagley College of Engineering proudly serves as the host of the Region V Mississippi Science and Engineering Fair. There are 7 MSEF Regions in Mississippi. Region V covers 16 counties including: Attala, Carroll, Choctaw, Clay, Kemper, Lauderdale, Leake, Lowndes, Montgomery, Neshoba, Newton, Noxubee, Oktibbeha, Scott, Webster, and Winston Counties. This includes all schools K-12 and home-school students.
The competition occurs on two levels: Upper Fair (grades 6-12) and Lower Fair (grades K-5). Only grades 7-12 are eligible to progress to the State Level competition. If you want to participate but your school does not host a science fair or you are a part of a home-school organization, please contact the Region V MSEF coordinator. You are welcome to enter.

Congratulations to Anya Rai!!! She was awarded the title of 2022 Top 300 Broadcom MASTERS® — the nation’s premier STEM competition for middle school students. The Broadcom MASTERS seeks to inspire young scientists, engineers and innovators to solve the grand challenges of the 21st Century. The students, selected from 1,807 entrants, come from 35 states, Guam and Puerto Rico. 30 finalists are chosen from this select pool to compete for more than $100,000 in awards and prizes. Finalists will be announced September 21.
